Tara Adams

Tara is an attorney with trainED, focusing on the areas of higher education and employment law. Tara works with colleges and universities to provide training and advice on higher education compliance issues, such as Title IX, VAWA, the Clery Act, and FERPA.

As an attorney for Gray Plant Mooty, Tara also regularly advises higher education institutions and other businesses on a wide range of employment law issues, including discrimination, retaliation and harassment issues, terminations, employment and severance agreements, and policy development. Tara represents clients in administrative actions and litigation when faculty, employment or student affairs-related claims arise. Tara has experience serving as a Title IX coordinator, ensuring institutional compliance with Title IX by directing investigations, managing adjudications of violations, and coordinating training, education, and prevention efforts. Tara also regularly conducts higher education investigations on behalf of institutions, including sexual misconduct investigations.
