Janet Evans

Having 27 years’ experience in litigation, Jan brings to trainED the skill, instinct and wisdom that comes from working with 100s of witnesses when engaged in fact-finding and client-centered problem solving. Jan’s experience has taught her that no individual witness nor investigation is a one-size-fits-all and she approaches her higher education investigations with a sharpened focus on the immediate and pertinent needs of each institution and individual’s situation.

Over her career as a lawyer, Jan has litigated complex, high stakes disputes in the commercial and employment areas for a diverse set of clients. She has been lead attorney defending complex and nationwide employment class actions, FLSA overtime pay class action, and has defended clients in the areas of gender and age discrimination. Prior to law school, Jan spent several years on campus, teaching courses at Duke University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she obtained her Master’s and Law Degrees.
